Air craft model was CRJ-900 while it was arriving from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, plane flipped upside down upon landing amid challenging weather conditions, including strong crosswinds and snow.
Everyone that was on board survived – 76 passengs and 4 members, although 21 of them sustained injuries.
Delta offered compensation
In the aftermath, Delta Air Lines offered each passenger $30,000 in compensation stating this gesture did not affect their rights to pursue further legal action. Ignoring this compensation and demanding more couple passengers that were on the flight have filed legal lawsuits alleging negligence and seeking additional damages. One passenger claimed that he was covered in jet fuel.
